BLACK GINGER POWDER in the early 15th century, when Zheng He, the diplomatic envoy of the Ming Dynasty., returned to the emperor during his seven voyages to Southeast Asia.
The tribute he brought back to the emperor included the rare wild Black Ginger in the deep mountains of Nanyang.  Black Ginger was as precious as ginseng and cordyceps.
